Labour of Love is the concluding volume of the Zero MacNoo trilogy begun by Peter McGehee in Boys Like Us and continued in Sweetheart.

After McGehee died shortly after completing Sweetheart, his longtime partner Doug Wilson used the detailed notes he had left behind to reconstruct the final novel. The story returns to Zero, his lovers, former lovers, friends and eccentric Southern family as his illness progresses during the AIDS crisis.
