Lid Off the Cauldron is Patricia Crowther’s practical handbook on Wicca, witchcraft, magic, ritual practice, and self-initiation. First published in 1981 and revised in 1998, this edition brings together Crowther’s teachings on the history, methods, and theory behind modern Witchcraft.
The book includes material on spells, chants, prayers, divination methods, ancient symbols, sonic effects, cosmic tides, planetary rituals, and the relationship between folk ritual, myth, and magical practice. Written by one of the key figures in British Wicca, it remains a useful title for readers interested in traditional Wicca, ritual magic, Pagan practice, and the development of modern Witchcraft.
