Description:

This seven-volume collection from Skira’s celebrated The Taste of Our Time series presents compact illustrated studies of Picasso, Renoir, Dufy, Goya, Manet, Piero della Francesca and Toulouse-Lautrec. Each volume combines biographical and critical text with numerous colour reproductions, many presented as mounted plates.

The set includes Picasso by Maurice Raynal, Renoir by Denis Rouart, Dufy and Lautrec by Jacques Lassaigne, Goya by Pierre Gassier, Manet by Georges Bataille, and Piero della Francesca by Lionello Venturi.

Published during the 1950s, these attractive mid-century art books were designed to make serious art history accessible to a broad audience without sacrificing production quality. A visually rich vintage collection for readers of European art, collectors of classic Skira publications and lovers of mid-century book design.
