A Liar’s Autobiography: Volume VI is Graham Chapman’s surreal, comic and deliberately unreliable memoir, written with several collaborators including David Sherlock, Alex Martin, David Yallop and Douglas Adams. First published in 1980, the book became known as a strange and self-mocking account of Chapman’s life, fame, sexuality, alcoholism, medical training and time as a member of Monty Python.

He is best remembered for his work on Monty Python’s Flying Circus and for starring roles in Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Life of Brian.
