Title: Palo Santo Chips
Weight: 50 grams
Origin: Ecuador
Botanical name: Bursera graveolens

Palo Santo, meaning “holy wood”, is traditionally used for cleansing spaces, setting ritual intention, meditation, divination, and creating a warm ritual atmosphere.

These Ecuadorian Palo Santo chips are small pieces of aromatic Bursera graveolens wood, suitable for burning on charcoal, adding to loose incense blends, or using in ritual bowls and spell work. They have a warm, woody fragrance with soft resinous and citrus-like notes.

We sourced this Palo Santo directly from an Ecuadorian wholesale supplier, rather than buying through multiple layers of resale. The wood is sold to us as ethically sourced Bursera graveolens, the species commonly used for Palo Santo incense.

This is different from Bulnesia sarmientoi, another tree sometimes also called Palo Santo, which is the species more often associated with endangered timber concerns. Because both plants can share the same common name, they are often confused.

How to use:

Burn a small amount on a lit charcoal disc in a heat-safe burner, or mix into a loose incense blend with resins, herbs, woods, and spices. Use sparingly, as the scent can be quite rich once heated.

Things to note:

Always burn in a heat-safe vessel and never leave burning incense unattended.

Natural variation is expected. Chip size, colour, shape, and scent strength may vary between batches.

This product is sold for fragrance, ritual, craft, and decorative use only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any illness.
