Secrets of Voodoo traces the development of Vodou in Haiti and the Americas, presenting it as a complex spiritual and religious tradition with roots in African civilizations.

Milo Rigaud gives an accessible account of the loa, ritual symbols, signs, ceremonial calendars, and magical rites associated with Haitian Vodou. The book includes discussion of Vodou cosmology, ritual practice, sacred symbols, and the religious meanings behind traditions that have often been misunderstood or sensationalised.
