About the Author: John Anthony West was an American writer, lecturer and independent Egyptologist known for popularising Schwaller de Lubicz’s symbolic interpretation of ancient Egypt. He became particularly associated with the theory that weathering on the Great Sphinx may indicate a substantially earlier construction date than conventional Egyptology accepts.
